Victoria, Australia: Liz with Guitarist Kate Burke

Deans Marsh Public Hall, 10 Pennyroyal Valley Road, Deans Marsh 3235, Victoria

From the web site, "Liz Carroll is an Irish-American fiddler and composer of extraordinary talent. She has been hugely influential in shaping contemporary Irish traditional music since she stunned the world by winning the All-Ireland Senior Championships at the age of only 18. From a family of traditional musicians, Liz developed a love for the genre as a child, advising her parents at the age of 10 to 'not waste any more money' on formal classical music lessons, because she preferred to learn from the local musicians around her in the extensive Irish community of Chicago. Liz’s warm character and generosity in sharing this music with others, in combination with her virtuosity on the fiddle, makes her performances truly remarkable. Be transported to a world where families have nurtured this timeless music in their own communities over generations and produced giants in the tradition.

Liz is in Australia for the first time, and only for 1 week. This is an exceptional opportunity to see her here in concert. Bookings essential.

Liz Carroll will be joined in concert by renowned Australian multi-instrumentalist, Kate Burke."
